Gabby Giffords graced us at a Congressional District 8 Candidate Forum, the second in a our series. Reports are that we filled our host’s house with a goodly number of interested voters. Those who have heard her speak before noted that she has clearly been keeping up with her homework and has continued to deepen her understanding of the issues important to us in the Tanque Verde Valley. One member commented, “I was really impressed by her experience in politics and actual performance in government. She has a good war chest, and the backing of a number of very diverse groups. (such as Fire and Police).”
